Individual Note: Amos left Sunday School with his sister to visit an Aboriginal Camp near the intersection of Mount Alexandra Road and Fletcher Street. He suffered a heart attack and fell into the aborigine's fire. He was dead when pulled out from the fire. The aboriginals came to the Essendon Common several times a year to hold corrobories. The Common was densely timbered and bounded by Mount Alexandra Road, Lincoln and Buckley Street. The area contained a natural water hole.
